Nearly three decades building experience
James has been building since 1995 from a family of carpenters building in NZ since at least the 1880s. Hopefully one of the sons or grand sons will take over SVB as a sixth or seventh generation builders and continue the tradition.
A passionate advocate for training young builders, James always apprentices and many former apprentices either still working in Smurf Builders or working in their own businesses in other parts of Auckland.

Heddo - Project Manager
TJ - Lead Carpenter
TJ is an experienced tradie with over three decades of building. He has mastered many trades, not just carpentry.
Usually at the first or second site visit you'll meet TJ. It's his passion to understand and deliver the outcome you want. Heddo's super power is looking at an issue and envisaging how to solve it in a practical and in a timely fashion. Its his job to make sure things happen systematically and safely, while still getting the best result possible for the budget agreed.
